FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NORWICHNORWICH PIONEER LODGE
The Pioneer Lodge at Norwich, Norfolk is a new innovation which we are pleased to announce. The Pioneer Lodge already has six Past Masters of the Grand lodge of Freemasonry for Men and Women, who are active in Lodges in Letchworth and London. These Past Masters are anxious to start a warranted and regular Lodge of Freemasons in Norwich, and invite serious minded people interested in Freemasonry to contact the Grand Secretary who will put them in touch with members in Norwich. The Pioneer Lodge has been delighted to receive two Entered Apprentices, who were ceremoniously obligated within the host Lodge Arbor Vitae No.1. This means that the Lodge is moving towards becoming a warranted and duly constituted Lodge as soon as they have ten members and they become Master Masons. If you reside in the Norfolk and Suffolk area and wish to learn more about our Pioneer Lodge, contact the Grand Secretary in the first instance, who will provide reading information about the Order. At present the Pioneer Lodge meets informally once evening a month to study and discuss the way forward. In order to form a warranted lodge it is necessary to have to have at least ten members who are Master Masons. This means that if you join the Pioneer Lodge, another Lodge called the Host Lodge will provide the Warrant and perform the ceremonies so that each new candidate has the opportunity to take the Initiation Ceremony, the Fellow craft Ceremony and Master Masons Ceremony. Having completed these degrees, the opportunity to become a Founder Member of a brand new lodge offers .source of pride in your Masonic career. A number of candidates have already been admitted into Freemasonry in Lodge Arbor Vitae No.1 on behalf of the Pioneer Lodge. At this rate there will soon be sufficient petitioners to qualify for a local Lodge to be consecrated. IF YOU WISH TO BE INVOLVED IN THIS EXCITING PROJECT PLEASE CONTACT US ON grandsecretary@grandlodge.org.uk for our information leaflets on our particular freemasonry in Great Britain and put you in touch with members who reside in the Norwich area, alternatively contact the Grand Secretary grandsecretary@grandlodge.org.uk Announcement Date --20th November 2003 -updated 25th January 2005
